Linda @ Painted Whyte September 19, 2010

My very good friend Michele and i decided a while back that we were going to have a garage sale - actually i have been talking about it for years and years but every summer it just never happens.  Wow its alot of work!  Maybe that's why i never made the time in the past.  Well this past weekend we finally took the plunge.  We got rid of alot of stuff but honestly the tables still look full with stuff (after Thursday night i ran around my house looking for more things to put in the sale - Wednesday night you could not fit in another item and that is no joke) and were actually thinking we might do another one before the snow comes because i really do NOT want to pack up everything that is left.  We made pretty good money but if you could see my garage now you would think it hadn't even happened yet.  I wish i would have taken an after picture but i do have some before shots.

Wow Linda, you sure had a full garage. It's a tiring exercise no doubt about it. Wish I could've come and taken some of your goods off your hands!

for any of you that hasn't seen linda's custom Pedestal Dessert Plates, you have to check them out! So many people were amazed with the creativity... but i guess it wasn't the right venue for serious buyers! I've suggested that she show them at a craft sale!! She would be VERY successful at showcasing and selling them!

I so needed to have a yard sale this year but it just didn't happen! I love getting rid of things and making money so I can fill all the holes up from the stuff I sold!!!!

Hi Linda! I found you through Tamarah at Shabby Vintage Junk...love that gal!
Good for you doing a garage sale. You know you can never sell out but sure feels good to get some money in the pocket for all the stuff taking up room in the house!
Glad to find a fellow Canadian with such an interesting blog. I'm in Winnipeg (just outside, on the edge really)..
I'll be back!

Love your blog, concept and furniture redesigns. I was going to ask how to subscribe by email since I didn't see that choice on your home page. Happily, I see the choice on this page.
