Linda @ Painted Whyte April 9, 2010

I am so sad.  On Wednesday i drove out to Stony Plain to go to an antique store and found this awesome headboard and footboard for only $149 - i loved it but i was trying to convince my boyfriend that he likes it too lol - he finally agreed and was even going to pay half and i called the store and i guess someone put it on hold and was in the store the exact moment i called - she was trying to decide if it was going to work for her - the store just called me back and said that she was buying it.  I am so sad.  I had a feeling i should have made a decision sooner... a lesson learned... will not do that again when i find something i love.  Take a look at the pictures.

Wow...for that price I would have jumped on it right away!! I love iron beds to look at but sometimes they can be a bit "noisy"!! lol is this from One Man's Treasures?? I still need to go poke around there!

I love One Man's Treasure! It's too bad you missed out on the headboard, but I'm sure something else will catch your attention.

Oh, it's always exciting, Linda! I myself was excited to have a new follower, especially one that was nearby. :) We have a little vintage/antique store in Alberta Beach. I think you'd like that one a lot. I picked up some new Pyrex bowls and fifties vase there with my mother yesterday.

ooooh a store in Alberta Beach - i'll have to check that out - do you know the name of the store - i love to hear about new places to search? Do they have good deals on old furniture?

Congratulations on your new blog. I found you from Holly's blog, Life In the Fun Lane. We are in Ontario but have family in Calgary, Brooks and Edmonton.

Too bad about the bed. It is difficult to make a decision only to lose the piece you had intended to buy. Hopefully an even better piece will come your way soon.

Linda- check craigslist for another one!!! Wait till I show you the bed I bought for my daughter for $100 off of craigslist!! The woman I bought it from purchased it from an antique store back in the 80's!! There's no screws! The metal fits into eachother like a puzzle piece and it is GORGEOUS!!! ;)
